January, 2005 Here's My Heart... As we prepare for a new year, let me offer some possible New Year's resolutions. How about, "I resolve to": Read the presious Word of God every day, without fail. Encourage at least one person in his/her walk with Jesus. Speak my words with kindness, gentleness, and compassion. Overcome, with God's help, any differences I may have with others. Live my life as an example of a believer. Vocalize my witness to every lost person I encounter. Enthusiastically give my support to the ministries of my church. May our prayer for this coming year be, "Father, help our church to minister to the spiritual and physical needs of our community, and let it begin with ME. Help us to continue to grow spiritually, and let the growth begin with ME. Help us to overcome any anger, jealousy, bitterness, and criticism, and let that overcoming begin in ME. Help us to be forgiving and understanding of each other, and let it begin in ME. Help us to be more diligent in spreading the 'Good News', and let it begin in ME.
