February 1, 2001 HERE'S MY HEART... What a word! I doubt there is a four-letter word in the English language that has been more maligned, abused, misquoted, and ill-defined than the word... L-O-V-E. We use it to emphasize our affections for almost everything. In the same sentence, we can talk about how we "LOVE" Jesus, and we "LOVE" automobile racing, football, pizza, country music, and little puppies. Sometimes it borders between incredible and irrational! Sometimes it humorous, and sometimes very serious. February is traditionally "the month of love" across our nation. We recognize our "valentines", send cards, candy, and flowers. We draw hearts and trace little angelic-type "cupids". And, it is the ONE MONTH of the year that we are sure to say to someone, "I Love You"! May I offer a suggestion this month of February and this Valentine's Day? Take some time to renew your "love relationship" with Jesus. We can never tell Him enough how much we love Him, and He never gets tired of hearing it. Of course, don't miss the opportunity to tell that person that you love them, too. After all, it IS the month of love! God bless you. -Bro. Jim
