March, 2005 Here's My Heart... I turned the page in my Planning Calendar this week, and there it was, as if it was just waiting to "leap off the page" at me....Sunday, March 20th, THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING! And, with each passing year, this particular season becomes more and more anticipated. It won't be long now, and the trees and flowers will begin to bud, blossom, and bloom. Green leaves, on new branches, will "suddenly" appear. The dormant, brown grass will slowly begin to turn green again. Signs of new life will begin to appear everywhere. All of creation will respond in a giant chorus. It reminds me so much of the blessings our Father gives us day after day after day. The Psalmist said they are "new every morning", and how right he was! As a mater of fact, EACH DAY is a special gift from God, for there will never be another day quite like this day. And, how can our limited vocabulary even begin to express the newness, the freshness He brings to us each day? Yes, it's almost Spring. But then, every day can be "the first day of Spring" to the believer who completely trusts in the presence, care, and provision of the Father. If He sees to it that the creation acknowledges His presence, how much more should we? So, if your life has grown "dormant", even "lifeless", take hope. The "Springtime of the refreshing of the Lord" may be just around the corner! God bless you. Jim Clayton, Senior Pastor |
