May, 2005 Here's My Heart... MAY I tell you about some exciting things at Dixie Lee Baptist Church this month? MAY I tell you how much we love and honor our Senior Adults? Their wisdom, knowledge, and experience, as well as their years of love for Jesus, are invaluable to those of us who follow after them. We will join with Southern Baptists across the nation in recognizing Senior Adult Day on Sunday, May 1st. MAY I tell you the emphasis we place on the significance of mothers and motherhood? Many of us attribute our walk with Jesus to the role of a Godly mother (or grandmother) who "paved the way" for us. So, as a church family, we will honor our mothers on Sunday, May 8th, MAY I tell you how we feel about the accomplishments of our high school and college graduates? What each of them will have achieved is of major importance, and I am glad we will honor them, with a special recognition, a gift, and a luncheon on Sunday, May 15th. MAY I tell you how I personally feel about those military men and women who made "the ultimate sacrifice" for our freedom, in the giving of their lives in conflicts and war over the years? We will, with pride, take a moment on Sunday morning, May 29th, to reflect on the observance of Memorial Day. MAY I, on behalf of our church family, invite you to join us throughout the month of MAY?
