July 1, 2001 HERE'S MY HEART... We call it Independence Day. It is the day we celebrate our birthday as a nation, our freedom from the tyranny and oppression that our forefathers faced in England, and the "independence" of our country. It will celebrated in many places, and in many ways, across the nation during the early part of this month. May I, however, issue a call, not for Independence, but a renewed call to a total DEPENDENCE on a holy God, as we face new challenges in this day? And, we can depend on Him for our every need. We can DEPEND on His protection for our lives, because He cares about everything that touches our lives. We can DEPEND on His power to sustain us in all we do in His Name. We can DEPEND on His provision to meet our every need. Will you make a new commitment to DEPEND on God right now? That's what he wants.
