May 4, 2000 HERE'S MY HEART... On Good Friday my wife and I packed a picnic lunch and headed for Cades Cove, our favorite place to visit in the Smoky Mountains. In spite of the rainy, cool weather, the mountains displayed their usual majestic beauty. We marveled at the "handiwork" of God, reflected in His creation. We also marveled that God still cares about everything that touches our lives. It is comforting to know that, in a world that seems so "out-of-control", God cares. We have three sons who are now young adults. There has never been a day in their lives when we were not concerned about them. When sick, or in school, or out with their friends...we cared. When they were happy, sad, excited, or depressed...we cared. Why? Because they are our children. How much more does the heavenly Father care about what touches the lives of His children? He cares because we are His children, and because He is faithful, always faithful. How is your relationship with this loving Father? You can know Him through a personal relationship with His Son, Jesus. And, when you know Him, you can trust Him to meet every need. How do I know? Because he is faithful, always faithful.
