August 7, 2000 HERE'S MY HEART... August is upon us and already in "full swing". In just a few days another school year will begin, and a busy summer will draw to a close. It is a time filled with emotion, excitement, and anticipation. At Dixie Lee Baptist Church we are praying for this school year, for every student, parent, teacher, and administrator. Will you join us? It has been an extremely busy and exciting summer at the church. It is really hard to keep up with all that has gone on. But, with Summer Mission Trips, Vacation Bible School, Youth Camps, and the regular, on-going activities, it has indeed been a busy time of year. I can never say enough about the "army of volunteers" who make all of this possible. You know who you are. You serve without murmuring or complaining (well, for the most part). And, you get the job done. Thank you for all you do for God's Kingdom. We continue to seek new areas of opportunity to minister to the needs of the Dixie Lee community. How can we minister to you? If you live in the west Knoxville, Lenoir City, or Loudon County area, and you have a special need, we would at least like to pray for you. Give us a call at 986-8801. We'll listen. A new church year is directly ahead of us. And, oh, what exciting possibilities the year 2000-2001 holds for the church. I want every family to "get in, get active, and get involved".
