G.R.O.W. (God
Rewards Our Work) is a comprehensive outreach
and inreach program designed to carry
out the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19 by
touching the lives of people in our community.
Members are asked to commit to just one Wednesday
evening a month to outreach... with several
different avenues of outreach from which they
can choose.
G.R.O.W. teams
meet each Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
in the church annex. During G.R.O.W., members
may write letters, make visits, make phone calls,
pray, or work on special projects. Cards and
letters are written to our homebound members,
missionaries, visitors, newcomers to our community,
prospects, and absentees. Members may also make
hospital visits, take more information about
Dixie Lee to recent visitors, or visit our homebound
members or those in nursing homes. Phone calls
are also made to check on members who are homebound
or recovering from surgery or an illness. G.R.O.W.
members may also work on special projects such
as mail-outs to families that have participated
in Upward Basketball and Vacation Bible School
or preparing neighborhood blitz packets.
