Upward is open to the community for boys and girls, 1st grade through 8th grade. Skill evaluations are conducted prior to team assignments to insure that evenly matched teams are formed. Every child is given an opportunity to play at least half of the game, regardless of his or her abilities. Registration and team assignments begin in November, and team practices start in December. Games are played January through mid-March.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is held during a week each summer for children of preschool age through middle school. The curriculum is chosen each year to provide the children with a Bible-based, active, and entertaining week of learning and fun. It is usually held in the evenings so that more of our adults and teens can participate as volunteer teachers and helpers.

Holiday Activities

Throughout the year, children have the opportunity to participate in many fun activities including an Easter Egg Hunt,  Trunk or Treat , a Halloween alternative, and a Christmas Party.

Other Activities

About once a month, an event outside the church is planned for the children to attend including day trips to Dollywood Splash Country and drive-in movies. Some outings are titled “ Destination Unknown” where the children are surprised with an evening activity such as putt-putt.

AWANA -   AWANA is a children’s program  for children ages 3 years to 6th grade meeting each Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. during the school year .
