Preschool Ministry Highlights

(Birth To Kindergarten

We welcome your child to the Preschool Division at Dixie Lee Baptist Church. It is our desire to help you and your family have happy Christian experiences through the many opportunities offered here at Dixie Lee.

We firmly believe the first five years of life are of unparalleled importance in building character, love, and a positive response to Christ and the church. We want your child's time here to be happy, well directed, and profitable. Your child is very important to us. We have sought to provide a Christian education and care utilizing trained leaders, clean and safe surroundings, and a well-balanced curriculum designed to meet the needs of preschoolers.

Nursery/Child Care

For the convenience of our members and guests with small children, a nursery is provided during both services for children ages birth through two years. Nursery services are also provided during special events and special classes as the need arises. The Nursery is located on the ground floor of our educational building and contains a fully equipped nursery for our infants as well as a playroom for toddlers.

A paging system is also available for parents to use when leaving a child.

Children’s Worship Time (4 yr. old — 1st grade)

During the 11:00 a.m. worship service, children may attend children’s church. During this time, leaders use a variety of activities to extend and reinforce the learning of your children

Preschool Choir

At 6:00 p.m. Sunday, (when school is in session) children 4 years old through kindergarten (based on school eligibility) are invited to take part in preschool choir.

Mission Friends

Mission Friends® is the church missions organization of WMU® for preschoolers ages birth through pre first. The primary objective of Mission Friends is to provide a strong foundation for preschoolers in a Christian and missions lifestyle. Mission Friends provides developmentally appropriate missions learning experiences to help preschoolers move from a self-centered focus to a focus on others, to become aware that not everyone knows about God's love, and to understand ways they can help others know about this good news! Mission Friends meet every Sunday evening 5:00 p.m. in our preschool area.
