From The Pulpit To The Pew
Worship With Us At DLBC This Coming Sunday, September 5, 2010:
10:15 A.M.-
6:00 P.M.-
From The PULPIT To The PEW....
"AWESOME AUGUST 2010" is now written in God's history. All that was
accomplished, all that was successful, and all the opportunities we missed
are now past. I want to thank Calvary Baptist Church, and their pastor,
Donny Crass. I want to thank Highland Park Baptist Church, and their
pastor, Eddie Click. I want to thank New Providence Baptist Church, and
their Senior pastor, Mark Caldwell. And, I want to thank YOU, the wonderful
members of Dixie Lee Baptist, for your support of these Sunday evening
worship services. Will we do it again next year? God will give us
direction in that. Do I think the effort was successful? I do, in that it
brought us together again, and gave us the opportunity to know each other a
little better.
I THOUGHT WE HAD a pretty "awesome" day yesterday, as well. Roger and
our Worship Choir, along with Bob Resseguie, were outstanding in their
praise to the Father. Thank all of you for the music. Then, at the
invitation-
It was a good day.
I KNOW NEXT MONDAY, September 6th, is Labor Day. I know most of our
"working people" will have a long week-
out-
get a good place to "park" themselves for the thirty-
Sunday evening. I know many will be at the lake all day. I know something
else, also. We will have Bible Study at 9:00 a.m., Morning Worship at 10:15
a.m., and (what I am calling) "An Old-
p.m. I am looking forward to the day, although I am a realist, and I am
certain we will not have "standing room only". I hope you prove me wrong!
HAVE YOU BEEN visiting our church, trying to decide if this is the place
where God wants you? Do you have questions about who we are and what we are
about? Well, next Sunday, at 9:00 a.m., I will be leading a class in the
Worship Center on the subject "Here Is DLBC". I invite you to come, listen
as I share with you about who we are and what we do, ask any questions you
would like, and then make your decision.
I HOPE TO SEE YOU next Sunday for Bible Study, praise, and worship.
Blessings,
BROTHER JIM
