Worship Leader
Chris Clift, our Worship Leader and Director of Music, and his family have been at DLBC since July 2017. His wife, Lora, grew up at Dixie Lee, and they are beyond excited to be “home.”

A Knoxville native, Chris holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Tennessee. Most recently he completed an Educational Specialist degree in Administration from Lincoln Memorial University. As a bi-vocational staff member, Chris also works full time at William Blount High School in Maryville as the Choral Music Teacher. Chris taught at Heritage High School prior to William Blount.

Chris enjoys all genres of music and strives to bring variety to worship services, but his greatest desire is to present opportunities for sincere worship of our King and Creator.

Administrative Assistant
With degrees in fine arts, art education and graphic design and 20-plus years of experience in the design business, Erin Weeks comes to DLBC with skills to help communicate church events to members and the community.
A member for more than 10 years, she understands DLBC programs and ministries, and can help longtime members and new friends plug in so they can “do life together” at Dixie Lee. Erin loves serving fellow church members and feels this is where God has led her.
Erin serves the Lord alongside her husband, Mark, and two daughters, Katie and Jenna.

Children’s Director
Dawn Taylor is our Children’s Director at Dixie Lee Baptist Church. She was born and raised in Knoxville (the Halls area) and attended Beaver Dam Baptist Church, where she worked as a paid nursery worker starting at age 15 and as a daycare worker for several years. She attended Austin Peay University in Clarksville, TN, and earned a bachelors of science in elementary education with honors in 2000. After completing student teaching, she returned home to Knoxville in January 2001 and started teaching at Adrian Burnette Elementary in February. She was blessed to remain at ABES, teaching fifth grade and then kindergarten, until she stopped teaching in May 2007.
Dawn and her husband, John, joined Dixie Lee Baptist Church in 2007. Their children, Benjamin and Aubrey, have grown up in this church. “We feel very blessed to call Dixie Lee Baptist home!”
Dawn has been involved in many of the children’s activities over the years: toddler room teacher, AWANA Cubbies leader, preschool committee, consignment sale coordinator, VBS crafts leader, and more. On Sunday mornings, you can find her in the toddler room working alongside Joy Resseguie caring for our babies and toddlers.
Dawn feels privileged to be serving as DLBC’s children’s director, to support and encourage our families as their children “Grow in Christ.”
