Youth Bible Study

Who:  Youth, 6th-12th Grade
When:  9-10 a.m. Sunday
                  6-7 p.m. Sunday
6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday (during school year)
The youth at Dixie Lee Baptist Church are engaged in age-appropriate Bible Study and Discipleship training.
The age groups on Sunday mornings are as follows:
     • Middle School (6th-8th Grade)
     • High School (9th-12th Grade)
On Sunday mornings they meet in a traditional Bible Study classroom. The Middle School class meets in Room 103 in the Education Building. The High School class meets in Room 104 in the Education Building. Both classes are led by caring adults that are knowledgable about the Bible. Currently, our youth are going through the Bible in three years using The Gospel Project curriculum.
The age group on Sunday evenings is:
     • Middle School (6th-8th Grade) & High School (9th-12th Grade)
On Sunday evenings they are worshipping and learning together. They start worship in the Worship Center where they participate in worship through music. As Pastor Steve starts his message, the youth slip out to have a Bible Study time in the Education Building. Bible studies may be gender-specific and the youth are separated into boys and girls classes. Other times, the study is for all. Then they meet together. The studies are carefully selected based on the needs of the youth. This is a great time of discipling these young people. The adults leading this Bible study time are truly pouring into these youth the love of Jesus.
The age group on Wednesday evenings is:
     • Middle School (6th-8th Grade) & High School (9th-12th Grade)
On Wednesday evenings, the youth meet in the Student Ministry Center. The Dixie Lee Baptist praise team will lead them in worship-focused songs, preparing their hearts for worship and Bible study. They will watch a Bible study video or have one of our youth leaders present a Bible study. They will then break into smaller discussion groups.
Your child is very important to us. We have sought to provide a Christian education utilizing passionate, caring leaders and a well-balanced curriculum designed to meet the needs of our older children, encouraging them in their walk with Christ.
